The Croatian Society of Histotechnologists and Cytotechnologists (CSHC) was established on March 14, 2023, based on a founding decision adopted at the General Assembly of the Croatian Association of Laboratory Medicine held on February 14, 2022.
The society was created with the goal of bringing together healthcare professionals working in histology, pathology, and cytology in order to organize ongoing professional education and continuous training.
The society operates within the Republic of Croatia.

Membership
Membership in the Croatian Society of Histotechnologists and Cytotechnologists (CSHC) is voluntary.
Membership in the society is obtained by registering as a member of the Croatian Association of Laboratory Medicine.
A regular member of CSHC may be any biomedical science professional, a citizen of the Republic of Croatia, working in histology, pathology, cytology, or molecular medicine related to histo/cytopathology.
An associate member may be a Croatian healthcare professional who actively contributes to the work of the CSHC Society.
Membership may be terminated by: voluntary resignation (in writing), non-payment of membership fees, or expulsion.
