The Association operates within the territory of the Republic of Croatia and freely affiliates with related international organizations.
CALM is a professional, voluntary, non-governmental and non-profit association of medical laboratory professionals.
CALM was established with the aim of promoting, developing, and advancing laboratory medicine, and supporting professional development across all areas of the field.
In line with its mission, CALM also contributes to the protection of public health, supporting the promotion of health and prevention of disease.
CALM’s key activities
Promoting the maintenance of the highest standards in medical laboratory diagnostics (biomedical science)
Fostering ethical and professional values within the field
Supporting education, professional, and scientific development of healthcare professionals working in medical laboratory diagnostics (biomedical science) to enhance patient care
Encouraging collaboration among CALM members in education and lifelong professional development
Building partnerships with other European and international organizations in the field of medical laboratory diagnostics (biomedical science)
Organizing professional meetings, study visits, forums, public health campaigns, and events of general interest for the advancement of the profession
Establishing formal, professional, and collegial connections with similar societies and organizations in Croatia and abroad to foster professional growth
Collaborating with Croatian educational institutions relevant to the profession of medical laboratory diagnostics (biomedical science)
Advocating for improved professional status of laboratory professionals through cooperation with competent institutions
